In this latest episode, the cameras followed us as we took on another classic Type H2 two-bed mid-terrace in the coastal town of Hartlepool. This property was purchased at auction for just £33,000 — a real bargain but in need of serious TLC to get it up to the Find UK standard. The auction catalogue described it as “cosy and inviting,” but with a boarded-up window and dated interiors, let’s just say it needed a little imagination to realise that potential. 

What Happened in the Episode?

Viewers saw our family business—led by our founder Dr Tariq and run day-to-day by his children and more than 100 members of staff — get to work transforming the home. With a £15,000 renovation budget, our team tackled everything from a leaking flat roof to a full interior makeover, showcasing our commitment to excellence. 

The upgrades included:

• A brand-new kitchen with integrated appliances
• A modern shower room (replacing the outdated bath)
• A partial rewire and new combi boiler
• Stylish flooring, new internal doors, and fresh décor throughout

But what truly made the project stand out was our bespoke approach. As always, we considered the future tenant from the get-go. We even consulted with a prospective tenant early in the process to ensure the property would meet their needs—installing a fridge freezer and washer as requested by them. 

The result? A beautiful, ready-to-rent home which was then sold to an investor as part of our turnkey package complete with a long-term tenant and guaranteed 7% net rental return.

Behind the Scenes: A Peek Into Our Process

While the show focused on the transformation, what viewers didn’t see was just how smooth and efficient our operation really is. With over 2,500 renovated properties and nearly two decades of experience under our belts, we’ve developed a finely-tuned pipeline.

Our in-house team of electricians, gas engineers, and tradespeople—many of whom have been with us since the beginning—handle the entire renovation from start to finish. On this project, Rafia, one of Dr Tariq’s daughters, led the refurbishment, while Hashim managed the purchase and Sadia prepped the investors for resale. It’s a real family affair, and that cohesion is a big part of why we consistently deliver great results.
Dr Tariq now focuses on what he enjoys most—meeting with investors and offering guidance. “I let the kids run the day-to-day,” he says. “I’m here to support and ensure that each investor has a positive, stress-free experience.”
