Find UK Property's Sixth Feature on BBC's 'Homes Under the Hammer'

Find UK Property, a property investment business in the North of England, is proud to announce its sixth feature on the BBC’s renowned property renovation series, ‘Homes Under the Hammer’. This milestone marks the company’s continued recognition for its expertise in rejuvenating properties and communities across the UK, with an impressive 2,500 renovated properties under their belt.

Over the past eight years, Find UK Property has been showcased multiple times on the programme, highlighting its commitment to transforming distressed properties into valuable homes. The latest episode, filmed in Spring 2024 and aired recently, provides viewers with an in-depth look at the company’s meticulous renovation process, from acquisition to completion.

In one of the episodes, Dr. Tariq and his son, Hashim purchased a 2-bedroom terraced house in the seaside town of Hartlepool at auction. The property was bare, with no kitchen or bathroom and a leaking roof. But, in just a matter of weeks, the house had been completely modernised and kitted out with a new family ready to move in.

Dr. Tariq, a former Paediatric Doctor and Founder of Find UK Property, explains how his passion for bringing older properties back to life and onto the market, has scaled beyond anything he ever imagined since his children joined him.

“What started with one property in my home-town area has snowballed over the past 16 years, as the demand for small to medium sized rental properties has boomed, for families and investors alike. My children joined me and now they do all the hard things, with the ever-growing team who help make this all possible. It’s quite incredible really, not what I imagined when I retired from the NHS”.

Tariq and his family always try to find ways of doing things ‘a bit differently’ without compromising on delivering value for everybody involved in the renovation process. Whether that’s the person buying the property, the family living in it or the people working behind the scenes:

“This latest property definitely does that. We offer investors and tenants flexi-furnished options which are tailored to the people who will be living there at an affordable, fair price. We strive to turn old properties into high quality homes, and assets that stand the test of time. There is a lot of fuss about new build houses these days, when the older properties can offer so much more.”

Tariq also expressed his gratitude for the continued collaboration with the BBC:

“Being featured on ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ for the sixth time is a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise in the property sector. We are honoured to share our journey and showcase the transformative work we do to revitalise properties and communities.”

With over 100 staff and 2 offices, Dr. Tariq’s small side business has grown into a big player in the UK property scene. The company manages more than 2,500 properties and has assisted over 1,200 investors in building profitable property portfolios.
